About us
Supported by a team of marketing, finance, tech and underwriting specialists, Kent Reliance Community Foundation aims to improve wellbeing in Kent and the South East by supporting local initiatives through both funds and exposure.
With a focus on preventing homelessness, supporting the most vulnerable in society and championing social mobility through the education of disadvantaged young people, our remit is broad and opportunities are plentiful.
As we embark on our mission to support those most in need in our local communities, overseen by an independent board of trustees, we plan to provide access to larger grants in order to create a greater and more lasting impact.
Our goal is to empower and enable grass-roots charities and community groups; the people who devote their time to achieving incredible things on their own doorstep, for the benefit of those in need.
At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to bettering the communities we live and work in, and a hope to extend our reach in the years to come.

Our Trustees
Jon Hall
Jon Hall is Group Chief Commercial Officer at OSB Group, with over 25 years’ experience in financial services spanning retail banking, lending and savings. A Chartered Accountant, he has held senior leadership roles including CEO, CFO and Managing Director, and has a strong track record of building and scaling specialist banking businesses. Jon previously led Masthaven Bank from concept through to authorisation and launch, and served as CEO of Saffron Building Society.
Alongside his executive career, Jon is an active supporter of the charitable sector. He has served as a trustee for organisations including Spread a Smile and LittleLifts, where he has contributed his financial expertise and governance experience.
Jon brings deep commercial insight, leadership experience and a strong commitment to community impact to his role as Trustee of the Kent Reliance Community Foundation.
Aaron Brann
With nearly 30 years’ experience in financial services, Aaron is a highly technical and successful Chartered Financial Planner.
Aaron is a highly respected Chartered Financial Planner with nearly 30 years of experience, known for his technical expertise and client success.
He stands out in the industry with his Fellowship of the Personal Finance Society, a rare achievement that signifies the highest level of professional recognition.
Aaron's broad expertise allows him to advise clients on a wide range of financial matters, and he has a specialised talent for guiding business owners through both corporate and individual financial planning.
When he's not busy helping clients, Aaron enjoys the simple pleasures of gardening, cooking, country walks with his dogs, and family holidays. As a local businessman deeply rooted in Kent, he's also actively involved in supporting local issues and charities.
John Paddick
John has held a number of senior posts in the financial services industry, as well as in the business services and the charitable sectors.
He returned to the UK in 2007, following a highly successful term as CEO of United Customer Management Solutions Ltd, an Australasian-focused business services group, and has since been assisting a variety of enterprises to develop their business strategies, as well as acting as CEO for a local charity.
Prior to this, John spent 23 years at National Westminster Bank Plc and then RBS, including roles as NatWest’s Director of Group Customer Service, and then as Managing Director of RBS’s Own Brand Business division.
Heather Sim
Heather offers a blend of strategic leadership and hands-on community engagement to her trustee role. With a career spanning both the clinical and charitable sectors, she has served as Chief Executive of two health charities and held Director-level positions at the Church Commissioners and the NHS. Heather's foundation in healthcare as a Student Nurse and Health Visitor was further strengthened by an MBA, equipping her with robust management expertise.
Heather's ability to navigate complex organisational landscapes, coupled with her passion for community development and extensive experience in charity and clinical management, makes her an ideal contributor to charitable endeavours in Kent.
Andrew Brooman
Andrew was appointed a trustee of KRCF in May 2025. He has worked at OneSavings Bank since February 2022 in the Legal and Governance team, and previously served as Company Secretary for KRCF from February 2023 to May 2025. Prior to joining OneSavings Bank, he spent nearly four years at HSBC in London, having trained and qualified at Allen & Overy.
A keen advocate for the third sector, he is also Treasurer of a local infant school’s PTA and an active volunteer in Scouting. Andy is a strategic, authentic, and curious legal and governance professional with a passion for empowering KRCF through thoughtful leadership, practical support, and a strong commitment to community impact.
Lyndsey Styles
With 18 years of extensive experience in financial risk management, Lyndsey is a GARP certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) dedicated to safeguarding financial stability.
At OneSavings Bank since May 2018, she has risen to Market and Liquidity Director, expertly managing the OSB Group's investments and liquid asset buffer.
Lyndsey's background also includes valuable time at Ahli United Bank (UK) PLC, where she oversaw Market, Liquidity, and Operational Risk.
Outside of her professional role, Lyndsey actively champions social mobility through education, reflecting her commitment to community and the objectives of KRCF.
